A Streamlined Range for Modern Requirements

VARTA has restructured its product range based on vehicle technologies and user needs. The goal: to provide an intuitive and clear selection tool for garages, fleet managers, and consumers. The new line replaces the familiar product families such as Blue, Silver, and Black Dynamic, and introduces modern battery types for a broader range of applications, including the new EFB H9 and AGM H3 batteries.

The range has also been expanded for commercial vehicles with EFB A and AGM B batteries, suitable for the advanced low-voltage systems of modern trucks and vans. At Molco Car Parts, we are currently selling off the existing battery types. These will then automatically be replaced by the new, streamlined variants.

New Color Code for Instant Clarity

To make choosing the right battery easier, VARTA is introducing a recognizable color-coding system:

• Blue – SLI batteries
  For conventional vehicles without a start-stop system. Provides reliable starting power for standard daily use.
• Silver – EFB batteries
  Developed for vehicles with a start-stop system and commercial vehicles with basic hoteling functions or rear-mounted batteries requiring higher performance.
• Gold – AGM batteries
  For vehicles with high energy demands, such as cars with advanced start-stop functions, EVs, and commercial vehicles with extensive hoteling features.
• Orange – Li-ion batteries
  Designed for deep-cycle applications such as RVs, boats, and other recreational uses. Provides long-lasting energy and smart monitoring via Bluetooth and CAN-bus.

This color-coding, combined with clear information on technology, capacity, and VARTA branding, ensures immediate recognition on the shelf or in the webshop.

New Battery Types for Broader Coverage

The introduction of the EFB H9 and AGM H3 highlights the focus on vehicles with higher energy requirements. For the professional market, the ProMotive series has been expanded with new types that meet the needs of modern fleets.

For recreational use, VARTA now also offers a premium lithium-ion battery. These Li-ion batteries are designed for off-grid deep-cycle applications and offer:

• Up to 2x more usable energy than traditional lead-acid batteries
• More than 3,000 charge cycles for a long service life
• Up to 45% less weight, making installation easier
• Smart monitoring via Bluetooth and CAN-bus for real-time performance insight

Support for Garages and Fleets

VARTA offers extensive support for professionals. This includes a user-friendly battery finder, training programs, installation guides, and the fleet program with tools like a battery cost calculator. These help fleet managers optimize their return and maintenance planning.
