MOTIP is a European brand specializing in the manufacture of high-quality aerosol sprays for various applications, including the automotive sector, industrial use, DIY, and bicycle maintenance. The origins of MOTIP date back to the late 1960s, when its founder Wout Post began selling touch-up paints in his father’s workshop in Valkenburg. His passion for colors led him to create his own pigments and paints.

Around 1980, MOTIP started producing spray paints with the establishment of a factory in Steenwijk, later relocated to Wolvega. This growth established MOTIP as a specialist in aerosol sprays and technical sprays. In 1998, MOTIP merged with the Swiss company Vogelsang AG, forming the MOTIP DUPLI group. This merger strengthened its position in the European market and allowed further expansion. Since November 2021, the MOTIP DUPLI group operates under the name European Aerosols, providing greater growth autonomy for the MOTIP brand and its sister brand DUPLI-COLOR.

MOTIP stands out with a wide range of paints, technical sprays, and maintenance products, aimed at both professionals and enthusiasts. The company has three production sites and commercial partners in more than twelve European countries. MOTIP continues to evolve by focusing on innovation, with a strong emphasis on quality and ease of use.
