A.B.S. (All Brake Systems) is a Dutch manufacturer and supplier of automotive parts, specializing in brake and steering components. Founded in 1978 by Frans Snijders, the company started by selling brake parts for French brands such as Renault, Citroën, and Peugeot. Together with his brother-in-law Peter Lit, he launched the business from an old barn in Nijkerk, which served as the first warehouse and marked the beginning of a company that grew into a well-known name in the European automotive sector.

Frans Snijders had a clear vision: to supply parts that were actually used on vehicles on the road, rather than relying on theoretical market data or mere product lists. This practical approach quickly became the company’s hallmark and the foundation for its success.
