Molco Car Parts is expanding the existing Febi Bilstein assortment with shock absorbers. Febi has been part of our range for some time and is used by many workshops for technical parts in OE matching quality. With this expansion, we are adding a product group that fits well with the existing programme for chassis and suspension.
Molco is the first supplier in the Netherlands to start with Febi Bilstein shock absorbers. This gives automotive businesses an additional choice within a product group that is regularly in demand in the workshop. It concerns a new programme from Febi, with more than 120 references and matching components for a complete repair.
A new step within the Febi assortment
Febi has a broad programme of technical replacement parts and is now expanding it further with hydraulic and gas filled shock absorbers. These parts have been developed for vehicles that are used daily and where damping, stability and comfort need to be brought back to the right level.
The expansion does not stand alone. Around the shock absorber, Febi also supplies additional parts such as mounting kits, dust covers, bump stops, protection kits and chassis springs. This makes the programme practical for the workshop, because when replacing shock absorbers, several parts are often assessed together.
Focus on light commercial vehicles
An important part of the introduction focuses on light commercial vehicles. This is a vehicle group where shock absorbers have a lot to deal with. Vans are often used daily, cover many kilometres and regularly have to cope with changing loads.
On these vehicles, wear in the damping is often not noticed all at once, but gradually. The vehicle becomes less settled, responds less precisely to uneven road surfaces or feels less stable when loaded. For workshops, this is a logical product group to include during maintenance, diagnosis and chassis repairs.
More than just the shock absorber
When replacing shock absorbers, it is not only about fitting a new part. The condition of the surrounding components largely determines the final result. Think of rubber parts, protective covers, springs and mounting material. When these parts are worn, this can affect noise, installation and the operation of the new shock absorber.
That is why it is useful that Febi introduces this product group as part of a broader programme. For the workshop, this means that the complete repair can be assessed in a targeted way, rather than looking only at the individual part.
OE matching quality and 3 year warranty
The shock absorbers and matching components are supplied according to Febi’s OE matching quality standards. In addition, a 3 year manufacturer’s warranty applies. This fits the way Febi positions the programme in the aftermarket: technically clear, widely applicable and focused on repairs that occur in everyday workshop practice.
For Molco, this is a logical addition to the existing Febi assortment. The brand is already well known among our customers and with the addition of shock absorbers, the range for chassis and suspension is further strengthened.
